Cookie policy
Last updated
This website does not use tracking cookies. There is no advertising pixel, no cross-site tracking and no behavioural profiling, which is why you have not been shown a cookie consent banner.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because most sites set cookies that are not necessary for the site to work, usually for advertising or analytics that identify individual visitors. We decided not to do that.
We measure how the site is used with cookieless analytics, which counts page views in aggregate without storing an identifier that would let anyone recognise you on a return visit or follow you to another site. Because nothing non-essential is stored on your device, no consent is required.
What we do use
- Cookieless analytics: aggregate page view and referrer counts, with no individual identifier and no cross-site tracking.
- Your language preference, where you choose one, so the site does not reset it on every page. This is functional and stores no personal data.
What we do not use
- Advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
- Cross-site or cross-device tracking of any kind.
- Social media tracking widgets.
- Session recording, heatmaps or similar behavioural capture.
- Any third-party marketing tag that identifies you individually.
Third-party embeds
Where a page includes something served by a third party, such as an anti-spam check on a form, that provider may set what is strictly necessary to perform its function. These are not used for advertising or profiling.
Managing your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Because this site does not depend on tracking cookies, blocking them will not stop the site working.
Changes
If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, this page will be updated and a consent mechanism added before those cookies are set. That is a change we would rather avoid making.
